FAQ

What is not included as part of the end of tenancy cleaning?

We will not try to wash the walls and the ceilings. We will however clean all cobwebs.  We can wash/clean the walls if you ask us to do it. This service will cost extra and the entire responsibility will be yours should any damage to the walls occurs. 

Not included in the end of tenancy cleaning are: carpet cleaning, exterior windows, any external areas (patios, gardens, external staircases, parking spaces, balconies, terraces). These services are available at extra cost. 

Do you clean windows from the outside?

This service is not included in the end of tenancy cleaning price and is available only if our cleaners can reach the windows from inside the room. Ground floor windows reachable without the use of a ladder also can be booked separately and cleaned.

Do you do steam cleaning?

Yes we do. Steam cleaning is part of our end of tenancy cleaning service and is being used in parts of the kitchen/bathroom where normal cleaning techniques will have no success.We can also steam clean your patio/garden tiles. This service is charged separately.

How soon can you send a team to my place?

We aim to arrange your end of tenancy cleaning within 4 to 5 days.

Who provides the cleaning materials and equipment

We will provide all branded cleaning materials & equipment unless you would prefer a particular brand, then we would be happy to oblige and either use your cleaning materials or supply these for you, this would be agreed at the time of making your booking

Can you carry out the job when I am at work?

Yes, of course. 
You can leave a set of keys with your neighbour or letting/estate agent. Please provide the contact details where we have to pick up the keys from including a name and a telephone number. We will collect the keys, do the job and then return the keys to the initial collection address or post them back through the letterbox.

Please note that we may charge you £10.00 if keys have to be picked up from a different postcode.

Do you charge per hour or per job?

Our end of tenancy cleaning is NOT charged per hour but per job. We will arrange for a day and time that is convenient to visit you and discuss your requirements, and gather as much information as necessary to put together an accurate quote for you based on the condition and size of your property,flooring, and number of rooms.

What are your cleaners' working hours?

Our cleaners work any day of the week from 08.00 to 20.00 including Public and Bank holidays. Cleaners can finish later than 20.00 if agreed 

Are you insured?

Yes we are have a comprehensive public liability cover. Our insurance policy will cover any accidental damages to your property caused by our cleaner up to 1 million pounds.

Our insurance policy will also cover theft and key loss.

Do I have to sign a minimum term contract?

There is no minimum term contract for using our services. 
  
We don't want you to pay money to us just because of a contract and not for receiving quality service. Most companies will require a minimum term contract to be signed because this is an insurance policy in their benefit regardless of the service they provide. That is not the case when using Maid in SwindonYou can terminate the cleaning service provided. No questions asked..

I am moving out. Can I have the same cleaner at the new place?

We will endeavour not to change your cleaner if you are moving home. This, of course, depends on the area you are moving to. 


Please give us as much notice as you can before moving out so we can arrange the service at your new home if in the local area.

Do I have to pay anything when I go away for a couple of weeks?

No. You don't pay a penny.
You only pay when you use our cleaning service. 
We require 24 hours notice before you go away, the date of your last visit before you go and the date of your first cleaning when you are back.

Do you guarantee your service?

Yes. 
We promise that if you are not satisfied with the result from a job then we will come back and re-do the clean free of charge. 

In the case of domestic cleaning and ironing please make sure you leave your cleaner tasks that can be normally completed within the time you have agreed.

Can I have a cleaner for an hour per cleaning visit?

Unfortunately not. You will have to book the minimum of 2 hours per cleaning visit.

What happens if the cleaner can not gain access to the property

If a cleaner has attended the property and is unable to gain access through no fault of the cleaner i.e. no key left out, then the full fee is payable for the arranged clean.

Can I have a regular cleaner once a month?

Yes. 
You can have a regular cleaner once a month.

Will I have the same cleaner every week?

You will have the same house cleaner looking after your home on every cleaning visit. We will not replace your cleaner unless you request the change yourself. 

Only if your regular domestic cleaner goes away for a week or two we will contact you with regards to providing a replacement.

Do you provide replacement if my cleaner goes on a holiday?

Yes. 
We guarantee you a replacement cleaner who will continue the regular cleaning service at your home.

Who provides the cleaning materials and equipment?

We provide all branded cleaning products and equipment unless you have a preference

Can I specify the day of the week the cleaner comes?

We make every effort to meet the requirements of our clients. 
In the majority of cases you can specify the day. If your request cannot be met then you will be presented with the nearest alternative options.

What happens if I am dissatisfied with the cleaning service?

In the unlikely event of dissatisfaction with the cleaning services we will re-do the job free of charge. 

 

If you are still dissatisfied with the service provided by your cleaner we will replace her with another regular cleaner immediately. In order to solve properly any issue related to poor quality service we need to receive feedback as soon as any problems occur.

How long will it take you to set up the domestic cleaning service?

We try to arrange your cleaning service and the initial meeting within 24 hours. In some cases we may need another day to find you a cleaner (usually when your request for a cleaning day is Friday)

Is there a minimum number of hours per cleaning visit?

Yes. 
You need to book at least 2 hours per cleaning visit. 
If you book 4 hours or more per week you can spread them to 2 or more cleaning visits. In this case the minimum number of hours per cleaning visit is 2.
